Dear BDB Members:

The band generates funds for the purchase and maintenance of equipment, staff, music, and transportation through the following sources:

- Fundraisers like the Cherrydale Catalog and candy bar sales
- Other sales like cotton candy and funnel cake at football games
- Direct donations from parents and community members/businesses
- District/Site funding: Instrument repair, allocated funds (District/VAPA/Grants)

While we make enough to get by, it is usually not enough to always cover all the things we wish to do to their full extent. There are also smaller things like water and snacks that are easier to get on our own.

Below is a list of items that you may want to donate if you are able to do so. They are some of the more routine items that we use rather often. I have categorized them by area of use. We are grateful for anything you can help out with, especially your time!

                                               Marching Season

For Student Competitions: Water Bottles, granola bars, Gatorade and electrolyte powders (Please no chocolate or chips as they are too messy for uniforms).

For Spats Cleaning: Toothpaste, dish sponges, dish soap

For Equipment: Gorilla tape (Black), black spray paint (flat exterior like Rustoleum), any used hex wrenches, ratchet sets, screw drivers, and allen wrenches.

For Funnel Cake/Cotton Candy: Cotton candy cones (paper), floss sugar, plastic serving bags, Gold Medal Funnel Cake Mix (5lb bag), syrup (chocolate, strawberry, caramel), powdered sugar, spray whip cream.
