Welcome back students! I trust each of you enjoyed a relaxing and eventful summer and I hope you have come back to school prepared to work hard! Remember, Language Arts is a core class and you will need to pass with a D or better to receive your necessary credit for graduation. With that said, I hope you have come back to school rejuvenated and ready to begin working.

Welcome Parents! As your child continues through their high school education, embrace this wonderful time in your lives together. Thus, I only see it fit to introduce myself to you as well. I am Mrs. Celestin. I am married with 2 kids, ages 2 and 1. This is my eighth year teaching at Norco High School; however, I have coached many years at Norco High and graduated from NHS as well. I received my post-secondary education from California State University, Fullerton earning a bachelor’s degree in English in 2014. In 2016 I received my teaching credential from Cal Baptist University, and in 2021 received my master’s degree through Concordia University. I am very passionate about what I do and hope that your student will see that reflected in my teaching.
It is my goal that all students will have a well-rounded perspective on literature and writing to prepare them for their futures.
In the syllabus you will find a list of supplies that are suggested for your student to use daily. Please help me in making sure they are prepared every day.
I will do my best to constantly update grades in the online portal. You may access their grades and attendance at any time through the Q system. If for some reason you child’s grade falls below a C- you will be notified through a progress report. If you have concerns with your student’s grade, I will be more than happy to update you. Please encourage your student to turn in all assignments on time.
