In the writing section of your notebook, please write at least half a page about what you did over the weekend (or anything interesting you did this past week).  The goal is for you to be reflective about your experiences and to put those thoughts into long sentences and paragraphs. Happy Monday!

In the writing section of your notebook, spend 20 minutes writing a scene involving a hair salon or barbershop.  This could be a realistic but fictional scene, a fantasy, a murder mystery, or anything that you like.  Your scene should have a beginning, middle, and an end. Have a great weekend!

Tonight I would like to remind you to spend some time reading a book or magazine of your choice, something that you enjoy.  You should spend at least an hour a day reading something that is well-written and long-form (so, not just on your phone). Happy Thursday!

In the writing section of your notebook, write at least half a page about what you like to do in your free time (or, if you had some free time, what would you do with it?).  Describe the activities.  Why do you like them?  Be creative! Have a good day!

Write a scene in which an e-mail or a text gets sent to the wrong person and what happens because of it.  I don't expect this to be a real event, but you can use your experience with it in real life to make up a fictional story.  Write at least half a page, in the writing section of your notebooks. Have a good day!

Do the worksheet on punctuating titles (easy!) and then glue it into the grammar section of your notebook.  Don't forget to write the date. Have a great weekend!

Take home the performance task and finish all the parts that are still undone (annotations, constructed response, and especially the essay).  This is your last chance to improve your grade on this project.  I must have all the packets turned in to me on Friday. Happy Thursday!

After reading pages 6-7 in the textbook, "My Introduction to Gothic Literature," write a summary of the text.  See page 8 for an example, but write yours in your own words.  Put it in the writing section of your notebook. Have a great day!

Write at least half a page about what you did over the three-day weekend.  You should be able to describe it in detail, whether or not it was very interesting. Happy Tuesday!

In the writing section of your notebook, write the date and then spend at least 15 minutes writing a scene that involves a donut for dinner.  Tell a little story.  You should write at least half a page, but it can be longer, if you're feeling creative. Have a great weekend!
