BYOD Troubleshooting

Frequent Issues:

  1. Students did not complete the directions below PRIOR to arriving to campus. Because of this, they cannot connect to our WiFi and have to use alterative methods to download when they arrive, which takes a great deal of time.
  2. Microsoft devices do not have enough RAM. Type "About" in the search bar, then click on "About your PC," and the look at "Installed RAM." It should be 4 GB or higher. If it's not high enough, students can purchase a booster for around $20 or request a device from the district (click here for step-by-step directions).
  3. Microsoft devices do not have Windows 10. Type "About" in the search bar, then click on "About your PC," and then look at "Windows specifications" to confirm you have Windows 10. If you do not, click here to update it (free for CNUSD students).
