Digital Citizenship Lesson Overview by grade level

Why are we doing this?
The Child Internet Protection Act (CIPA) is a federal law that was enacted in 2000, which requires school district to implement internet-safety policies and educate minors about appropriate online behavior. Corona-Norco Unified School District has teamed up with Common Sense Media to provide lessons and quizzes that teach students about the safety, internet etiquette, and dangers lurking on the internet.

When are the lessons taught?

The first three days of school in August have an adjusted bell schedule to allow a 40-minute period to teach students the Common Sense Media lessons. Click here for the Bell Schedule - first 3 days and to view where students go to receive these lessons during the first three days of school.
