Look at Source #2 in the performance task. Number all the paragraphs. Read it. Highlight any difficult and/or important words.  Write the definitions in the margins. Draw a line in between all the sections (where the author seems to start a new "big idea"). Underline the "big idea" in each section, where the authors seem to make their main arguments/evidence. Have a great Tuesday!

Lisez les pages 1 à 7 dans le nouveau packet de grammaire ("Breaking the French Barrier") que je vous ai donné aujourd'hui.  Vous pouvez surligner ou noter ce que vous trouvez important. Read pages 1 to 7 in the new grammar packet that I gave you today.  You can underline/highlight or note what you find important. Bonne journée !

Practice the dialogues that I gave you today by reading them over a few times each, preferably out loud (alone, if you want). Bonne journée !

Write at least half a page about your weekend in the writing section of your notebook (the fourth section).  Use sensory details to describe whatever you did, no matter how boring it might have been.  There is always something you can say about it.  Tell us why you did whatever it was or how you felt about it.  Stretch your writing muscles!  Don't forget to write the date at the top of the entry. Have a good rest of your day!

Ecrivez au moins une demie-page au sujet de vos familles.  Décrivez-les en détails, en français, dans la section quatre du cahier (l'écriture). Write at least one half-page on the subject of your families.  Describe them in detail, in French, in the fourth section of your notebook (the writing section). Bonne journée !

Lisez les pages 11-15 dans le cahier de grammaire que je vous ai donné aujourd'hui.  Lisez bien les instructions pour les verbes fondamentaux (être, avoir, aller, et puis, plus tard on lira faire). Faites les exercises A, B, et C sur les pages 18-19 du cahier.  Vous pouvez écrire les réponses dans les marges ou bien, dans la cinquième section du cahier quotidien ("les devoirs"). Read pages 11-15 in the grammar notebook that I gave you today.  Read the instructions carefully for the four fundamental verbs (être, avoir, aller, and then later, we will do faire). Do exercises A, B, and C on pages 18-19 of the grammar notebook that I gave you today.  You may write your answers in the margins or in the fifth section of the daily notebook ("les devoirs"). Bon week-end !

Do exercises 10.3 and 10.4 in the -er verbs packet.  Be sure to read the directions for each section first, in order to understand the specific spelling rules for those exercises (no point in practicing something that's incorrect). Bon week-end !

In the writing section of your notebook (the fourth section), write at least half a page about how this week has gone.  Reflect on your feelings and experiences.  Here are some suggested topics.  How do you feel about your classes?  What went well this week?  What was your least favorite thing that happened?  How are you feeling about the rest of the year to come?  Write your own reflection.  Don't feel like you have to answer each of these questions.  I encourage you to write more than the minimum requirement. Don't forget to write the date at the top of your entry, and leave the first page for the title page of that section. Have an interesting weekend!

Ecrivez au moins six phrases au sujet de ce que vous avez fait pendant l'été.  Utilisez les temps passés (le passé composé et l'imparfait) autant que possible.  Faites cela dans la section de l'écriture, et écrivez bien la date aussi. Write at least six sentences about what you did this summer.  Use the past tense as much as possible.  Do this in the writing section of your notebook, and be sure to write the date. Bonne journée !
