International Baccalureate

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program and Diploma Program in the Corona-Norco Unified School District consists of three schools. In total the 3 schools host over 400 students in the MYP and 150 students in the DP. Across the globe, IB is in 3,658 schools in 145 countries and currently educates over 1,098,000 between the ages of 3 and 19.

Centennial High School: Career-Related Candidate School
Centennial High School is a candidate school* for the Career-related Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.

The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for children aged 3 - 12 nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning.

The PYP offers an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum framework that builds conceptual understanding. It is a student-centered approach to education for children aged 3-12. It reflects the best of educational research, thought leadership and experience derived from IB World Schools.


The PYP has evolved to become a world leader in future-focused education. The PYP is an example of best educational practice globally, responding to the challenges and opportunities facing young students in our rapidly changing world.

The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) is designed for students aged 11 to 16.

This period, encompassing early puberty and mid-adolescence, is a particularly critical phase of personal and intellectual development and requires a programme that helps students participate actively and responsibly in a changing and increasingly interrelated world. Learning how to learn and how to evaluate information critically is as important as learning facts.
