Saturday School

Academic Saturday School

Download Schedule: March 14th is Cancelled

Updated on Thursdays

8am to 12pm

Students must go to class for  a full 2-hour duration:

  • Session 1: 8:00am to 10:00am
    (15 minute break)
  • Session 2: 10:15am to 12:15pm

How it Works:

1. Students choose which classroom to attend.
2. Students must stay in a room for full session (2 hours).
3. Students may switch classrooms at break.
4. Students must sign in with the teacher each session.
5. Students caught loitering will be asked to leave campus.
6. Students are subject to school discipline while on campus.
7. May be used to earn back days if too many absences (must attend full 4-hours).

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is this for discipline? No. This is used to allow students additional time to get caught, study, or receive tutoring from a teacher on duty.
What if my teacher isn't working the day I plan to attend? The teachers in each subject area work together so that you can go to any teacher to get help in that given subject area. So, if you need help with math, for example, go see any math teacher and they will be happy to assist.

Will I get extra credit if I attend? It depends on what your teacher is offering. We recommend asking your teachers first so you know ahead of time.

What if I want to attend, but I don't know where to go? We recommend planning ahead so that you bring everything you need to work on. Talk with your teachers to see what they will allow to be turned in late, or plan to attend with a friend to work on a project or study together. When all else fails, look in Student Connect to see what work you need to make-up (ask your teacher first if you can turn in late work) as well as your planner to see what work you need to complete this weekend.

Do I need to stay the full four hours? Yes. Students who stay the full four hours are documented when you sign in to each class. This information is submitted to officials so we can receive ADA (the money the state gives us based on student attendance). We can only receive money (which pays for the teachers to be there) if students are present for all four hours and if you had an absence earlier this school year.
