What it's like to be a Cougar

Visiting Our School

Each year we open our campus for all prospective students to visit and learn about the programs offered at our school. The following outlines the many opportunities you can come see why we bleed blue:
  • Vision Night - an open-invitation to anyone thinking about attending Norco High School the following school year. Typically held in February/March with counselors, teachers, club advisers, and coaches available to answer your questions.
  • Athletic Games - check out our calendar to come see your favorite sport play!
  • Campus Tour - contact the school by calling 951-736-3241 to schedule a private appointment to tour our campus.


Academics

We offer a wide variety of course offerings for any future plans, including college-ready and career-ready plans. 
  • Course Selection - check out the list of courses available to students when they select their classes for the upcoming year.
  • Departments - visit our website to check out the various department webpages.
  • College Credit - there are many opportunities to earn college credit while still in high school!


Extra Curricular

In additional academics and sports, we also have a wide variety of clubs and activities for students to get involved in!

  • Dances - we have three main dances per year that our students dress their best for a lifetime of memories!

Academic Resources

We have a variety of resources available to students to meet their academic needs.
  • College and Career Center - a special office that schedules college fairs, ASVAB tests, assists with FAFSA completion, and so much more!
  • Counselors - visit your counselor with any questions you may have to discover what careers may be a good match with your interests, researching colleges, preparing for your future, and so much more!
  • Teachers - our teachers are highly qualified in their subject area and are very knowledgeable about the future careers in their area of expertise. Be sure to talk to a teacher who teaches your favorite subject to learn about the possibilities for your future!


Food

  • We have a full-time cafeteria for breakfast and lunch service as well as restaurants in our nearby area for students with an off campus lunch pass. Outside delivery services are not permitted. Visit our website to view our school policy.


 

Health & Fitness

Take advantage of a range of health and wellness opportunities that are available to all our students:

  • Athletics - there are many competitive sports for experienced and first-time players. All of our athletics meet competitive CIF requirements. Visit our athletics website or stop by the Athletic Office to learn more!
  • Calm Room - join us every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch for a wide variety of solutions to help calm your stress. We teach yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and other stress-reducing strategies.
  • PE Electives - we offer PE elective courses available to upper-classmen, such as Weightlifting!
