1st Day

Here's everything you need to know to be prepared for your first day of in-person school on Tuesday, August 8th.


What to Bring

  • ID Badge (must be worn to enter campus). Go to the PAC if you don't have one. Go to Attendance Office if you forgot yours.
  • Laptops (fully charged) - be sure you know how to access myCNUSD (how-to video)!
  • Laptop Charger
  • Backpack
  • Paper & Pen/Pencil
  • Water Bottle (we have a refillable station outside of the Career Center)



ID Badge
All students and staff are required to wear their ID badges while on campus during the school day. If you didn't receive one, the photographers will be in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Tuesday August 9 and Wednesday August 10 from 7:30am - 4:00pm. If you already have an ID badge for this school year, you may get a duplicate ID badge in the Attendance Office all year long for a $10 fee.



myCNUSD

All students must be able to access their myCNUSD account. Click here for a how-to video plus many more tech resources!


Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Drivers should pull into the drive-thru lot that runs along the front of the school. 


Entry/Exit Points
Before/After School (8:00am-9:00am): Main Front Gate, Upper Gate (near Football Field), Cafeteria, North Alley (between Ag and B-building)
During School Hours: Front Gate Only



Parking
Students, parents, and guests may park in the student lot (the largest parking lot on the south side of campus) for the first week without a pass. Parking passes can be purchased in the Activities Office. Students must have passes starting Monday of the second week of school: August 14th.


Schedules
Look on Student Connect before arriving on Tuesday morning. Counselors will be balancing classes all of Monday.  *Schedules will go live at 12:01am on Monday, August 7.


Class Questions
PE: reports in the Gym on the first day.
Late Arrival: check the bell schedule to plan your arrival time. Enter through the Main Office. 
Work Experience: email your teacher to see when your meeting time is.
Zero Period: email your teacher to see when your meeting time is.



Lockers

The lockers listed on the printed schedules distributed at Fall Registration are accurate. All returning students will have the same locker as last year. See Mrs. Relatores in the Admin Office if you have any issues or need to request a locker change. Please expect up to one month for requests to be made. 


Student Laptops

If you are a new student to our district, please see Mrs. Walker in the Library to receive your device.  You will keep this each year and turn it back in only when you graduate or transfer out of our school district.



Breakfast & Lunch
FREE lunch to ALL students all school year long. Food will be hot (not frozen or given in bags). Click here for Child Nutrition Services (menu and free/reduced lunch application) as well as our delivery food policy.  **Parents are still encouraged to fill out the free or reduced meals application as you may qualify for additional services, such as waived SAT/PSAT fees, CalWORKS, and more.


Off-Campus Lunch Pass
Available to 11th and 12th graders who meet the criteria. Passes will be sold after the first week or two of school, so please be prepared to remain on campus when we start school. Click here for Off Campus Policy details.



Dress Code
Midriffs must be covered! Please make sure you do not have any offensive language or pictures to ensure all of our students and staff members feel safe and comfortable while on campus. Find details about the CNUSD dress code policy by CLICKING HERE.

ack to School Night 
Will be held on Friday, August 11th. More details to follow soon.


Late-Start Wednesdays
Start the 2nd week of school:  August 16th.
