LATE ARRIVAL
Students are to report to a security attendant upon arriving at school and their attendance record will be amended at that time. An excused tardy requires a note from parent/guardian.

Oversleeping, missing the bus, traffic, car problems, etc. are not considered valid reasons for excused tardies.

EARLY DISMISSAL
Students must be signed out by parents or guardians. Parent/Guardian must call the Attendance Office after 7:45 a.m. indicating the time and reason the student needs to leave campus. The Attendance Office will produce an early dismissal pass that the student will need to show their teacher. The teacher will release the student at the designated time, and the student should report to the Attendance Office where they will wait for the parent/guardian. If the student drives it should be indicated on the early dismissal pass and the student will be allowed to sign themselves out prior to leaving.

Cut off time for checking out a student early is 3:00 pm
(30 minutes prior to the bell at the end of the day) - no exceptions.

**WE DO NOT ACCEPT OVER THE PHONE OR EMAIL REQUESTS TO ALLOW YOUR STUDENT TO BE RELEASED EARLY**

IF YOU RECEIVED AN ABSENCE PHONE CALL IN ERROR
Check the Q Parent Portal to locate which class your student was marked absent/tardy. Send an email to the teacher regarding the absence or have the student speak to the teacher the following day. Your student will need to clear the error directly with the teacher who marked them absent/tardy by picking up an Attendance Verification slip from the attendance office and having the teacher sign and submit it to the Attendance Office.

IF YOU REPORTED AN ABSENCE AND STILL RECEIVE A PHONE CALL
Please call the Attendance Office again. Due to unforeseen circumstances it’s possible the phone call was not received, interpreted or not recorded.

STUDENT IN CLASS NOT FEELING WELL
For safety reasons students should not contact parents/guardians from the classroom. Students should request a pass from their teacher to visit the health office, and the school health clerk/nurse will contact the parent/guardian.
